I like the Trend Micro, Norton and ESET for their total features. I also like AVG because it's free. ESET for my Desktop. I would choose ESET to see the features that have been highly touted. I like AVG for my laptop.

For spyware/malware - take a look at Malware Bytes and AdAware, perhaps Spybot. All are free and all have been recommended to me by IT folks.
